Confirmed! Admiral Thrawn To Appear in Star Wars Rebels Season 2

That's right fake believers! Good ol' Mith'raw'nopoodoo will be gracing our television sets this fall during the second season of Star Wars Rebels. More details after the jump.

So most Star Wars nerds loovvvedddd the Thrawn trilogy by Tim Zahn, Happy Belated Birthday Timmeh!! And those same nerds flipped tables when Disney announced the EU reboot. Well rest assured NERDS the blue-skinned beauty is back to REK the rebels.

Rumors have it that the Legends novel, Heir to the Empire will have strong influence on season 2 of Rebels. As it turns out, the new inquisitors that are being introduced, along with the first season's inquisitor, are clones of Jedi who have long perished, way before the Clone Wars began. This is similar to Jedi Jorus Caboth of Heir to the Empire.

The plot of season 2 is Vader trying to catch Kanan, Ezra, and Ahsoka to clone them and turn them into inquisitors while killing the originals, or keeping them for his own nefarious plans, secret from the Emperor.

Enter Admiral Thrawn. Thrawn and Vader will be working together to catch these Jedi because they know they can't kill them as they have tried so hard to do in the first place.

Thrawn will be introduced as Tarkin's second in command leading the fleet in his own Star Destroyer called... wait for it... The Finalizer! Kylo Ren later names his Destroyer after Thrawn's. We also learned that Nolan North will be voicing the admiral.

We will also be introduced to Vader's secret apprentice, who will be an amalgam of Heir's Mara Jade and The Force Unleashed's Galen "Starkiller" Marek. Her name will be Jade Marek and will be voiced by Sarah Michelle Gellar. The subplot including Jade will involve Vader training her to the point where he will easily be able to overthrow the Emperor.

Well that's all we were able to find out. Thanks a lot to our correspondent "K" who brought us this information. We'll be checking Ancestry.com to see if you're one of Jacen's cousins.
