Disney Forces Back To The Future To Make A Change

30 years ago Back To The Future made one of the very first
Star Wars references in pop culture.
The Back To The Future Blu-Ray releasing today for October 21, 2015, Back To The Future FUTURE DAY is not what you'll remember from your childhood.  Now that Disney owns the Star Wars franchise, they have forced a change in the beloved Cripsen Glover film.  Hit the jump at 1.22 gigawatts to learn why.

Vader always sounded better with Van Halen as his theme.
When you watch Marty McFly mimic everyone's favorite space opera villain, it won't be the same as you remember.  Disney has forced Robert Zemekis and Universal Studios to remove the pop-culture reference McFly makes to Darth Vader when scaring George McFly into co-operating with his plan to save his family.  In place of "Darth Vader", Michael J. Fox has dubbed the line as "Dark Invader."

Rebel Studios won't stand a chance against this fully
operational set of mouse ears.
We've learned from an insider over at the Mouse House that this is the first in a series of pop-culture references Disney will be removing by court order if necessary.  The fine print of Lucas' 2012 agreement with Disney includes a clause that stipulates Disney can take back any permission for use of Star Wars clearance in all media forms.  Yikes.  Look out Robot Chicken, your head might also be on the chopping block.

The Four Billion Dollar Hug.
When reached for comment, George Lucas said: "I don't know why they would want to do this, but as someone who has tinkered with movies over and over again, I guess I can see the fun in it.  Universal should be happy, with Star Wars associated in the news with Back To The Future this week, it will only mean more merchandise sales.  Take it from me, it won't be a bad thing guys!"

"What is thy bidding, My Mouse-ter?"
We should all be scared for what the future brings with Disney tightening their grip on the Star Wars property.  Do they really have storytelling at heart or is this the first sign of a much more sinister plan to rule the galaxy?

Drivel out.
